These stickers can be used in conjunction with PENpal and the BirdCaller software to bring sound to any bird guide.
BirdMIKE can also be used for labelling. The RNIB (Royal National Institute of the Blind) have bought over 6000 units of PENfriend for their members. PENfriend is their brand name for BirdMIKE. If you have difficulty reading small print, or writing long messages, then BirdMIKE can be used to label or message aurally. Just speak into a label, for as long as you wish, though you might like to limit the recording to a few minutes. You can also record over a label as often as you like, and users have stuck labels on message boards informing their partners of when they will be back.
