British Birds Guide

£25.00
SKU: Bmfilofax

A beautiful Picture Guide illustrated by RSPB illustrator Mike Langman and Norman Arlott of 270 Species, with their "soundspots" of Calls, Songs and Advice. This is a lovely accessory. 108 pages bound in a six ring zip-up black case that is expandable with notes, addresses, etc. In addition to the Guide, the case has room for BirdMIKE and other accessories, including the Bird Diary. Audio advice by UK's Birding Expert Geoff Sample and professionally recorded sounds by Jean C Roché, Europe's leading sound recorder. There are over 4 hours of audio information in this attractive compact Guide.

You can now play back Jean C Roché's recordings using the  BirdMIKE pen (bought separately) or you can save your own recordings on the same "soundspot" as Jean C Roché's. For example, if you wished to record the Robin in your garden, turn to page 68 of this guide, press the record button on BirdMIKE, touch the sound spot, and record. You can play back the recording anytime when BirdMIKE touches the "soundspot" again. Compare your recording with Jean C Rochés by flipping the mode button on BirdMIKE.

The zip-up case dimensions are 16cm by 21cm by 4cm with a pocket to hold the Field Guide, an elastic strap for the BirdMIKE, and enough depth to hold the Guide as well as the British Birds Diary.

Other information on each specie includes: a seasonal distribution map of UK, Taxonomy and Names, Habitat icons, Size of Birds, including windspan. Please click on the image to see it enlarged.
