What is the BirdVoice System? It is a new way to double your bird recognition skills. Go outdoors, select a specie with your birding pen and listen. So too will the birds and many will respond and sometimes appear. A great way to interact and learn!

BirdVoice is made up of several components, the main ones being our new PENpal, the BirdCaller Software, My Talking PhotoBook software and sound recordable sticky labels. With these you can bring any sounds recorded on CD's or MP3 players and transfer them to any Book. Playback anywhere with the portable PENpal.

For example, buy a CD from our site or anywhere else on South African Birds, buy a book on South African birds, and transer the audio from the CD to the book via our BirdVoice Pen. We call the pen your PENpal!

What is PENpal? PENpal is the latest technological development in the birding pen range and is smaller and easier to use than BirdMIKE. It has a 4GB memory capacity (twice that of BirdMIKE) and runs on two AAA batteries. PENpal has headphone and USB ports, and comes loaded with our new FREE BirdCaller software.
Just touch the sticker with PENpal and immediately you will hear the sound recorded. No need for scrolling, searching, viewing minute screens. Everything you need is at your fingertip and flick through a book like you have always done. Simple.

What is the BirdCaller software? It is a simple to use software that converts sound from any CD to use with your PENpal. What this means for bird watchers is that it enables you to transfer bird songs and calls from a CD to blank recordable sticky labels. So, if for example, you have a CD of North European birds, then you can transfer the bird song of an individual bird from the CD via the BirdCaller software to a recordable label. Then peel off the label and stick it next to the bird in your book. In this way you can build your own library of bird guides to use with your PENpal. Or, you can use the software to make your own Talking PhotoBooks.

What is the Talking PhotoBook? At Birdfair we launched the world's first TALKING photobook. Most people take great photographs on birding holidays or other ceremonies. However in  nearly all cases the photographs are stored away in the hard disk of a computer. Why not display the photos in an album for your bookshelf and why not have a running audio commentary on each page. My Talking PhotoBook is a FREE software that allows you to do just that. You can design your own page, stretch a photo across two pages or have as many photo's as you wish on one. Change the page colour and text anywhere. Each page has two sound spots already build in for you to record your commentary with PENpal. Try this innovative software - it is FREE and EASY and great FUN
